Mustafa Abbas is an award-winning Emirati writer and director. His film Sunset State played in seven countries including the Dubai International Film Festival, which it premiered at. With his distinct style of filmmaking, Abbas has played a big part in developing the local film scene going back more than a decade. He is known as one of the pioneers in the Emirati film industry and has contributed in not only writing, producing and directing films but also has been on the jury for festivals as well as competitions including the first ever Nikon Film festival, and the Community Development Authority which is part of Dubai Government. One of his many highlights was being the guest of honor at a ceremony held by Dubai Customs where he was awarded for his work as an Emirati filmmaker. Recently, Mustafa has completed his latest project The Long Game.
Managing Director of the prestigious Legend Group which was established by his father in 1990 as a general trading, Mustafa has turned it into a reputable and luxurious group of companies that holds many worldly names such as Bang&Olufsen, a business in the Abbas family for over four decades. As well as PPI: Property Portfolios International, operating out of Dubai and London, and the high-end men's grooming salon which is one of Mustafa's many passion projects Chivalry: Gentlemen's Salon, the first of its kind in the region and one of the most popular men's barbershops in the Middle East. Due to his love for leather, he founded his own brand 35 Burgundy which is making quite a buzz worldwide. Most recently, to support local brands and businesses, Mustafa founded Aficionados PR & Comms.
